The Atelier is the beating heart of Vitsley Olfactive studio, where scent is the medium through which art is made. Here we focus on creating original fragrance commissions for individuals, collectors, and personal projects. Every engagement begins with a conversation, allowing each fragrance or experience to develop in response to a person, a place, or a particular moment.

Commissions range from bespoke fine fragrance and residential scent design to private workshops, olfactory artworks, and sensory projects and experiences. Whether marking a significant occasion, creating a lasting gift, or developing a scent to live with each day, every project is approached with the same level of care, craftsmanship, and discretion.

    Vitsley Olfactive Studio’s library of materials includes specialty ingredients from Australia and eastern Asia, as well as the classics that many know and love from commercial perfumes. We will guide you through the creative process of choosing a scent profile according to your olfactive responses, whether it be based on memory, emotion, mood, or desire.

    Olfactory Art commissions

    Vitsley Olfactive Studio founder Nadia Vitlin is an exhibiting visual artist and has pioneered a new medium involving scent infusion into the artforms of sculpture and painting. Aromatic visual art glows with fragrance, softer than diffusion. Through the Atelier, Nadia accepts commissions for artworks, exhibitions, installations, and performances in which scent forms the primary or supporting artistic medium. Each work is developed in response to the conceptual framework of the project and its intended audience.

    Pairing for Private Events & Hospitality

    Aroma can be integrated into the sensory experience of cuisine to create a considered yet unique experience. We develop olfactory pairings for private dinners, tastings, and hospitality events, either as a standalone experience or in collaboration with sommeliers and chefs for a fixed menu. This is a growing practice and is mostly undergone alongside wine, tea, whisky, and cocktails. However, all fare, including food, can be considered for pairing.

    Pairings may be presented as a guided experience or integrated subtly throughout the event.

    Bespoke Ambience for Business

    Curating a bespoke scent for your business, whether customer-facing or B2B/consultation-focused, is a highly effective tool for conveying the character, vision, and mood of your business. We develop ambient scent strategies for intimate environments such as private clubs, wellness retreats, yoga studios, galleries, and executive lounges, where fragrance contributes quietly to the identity and experience of a place.

    Private Masterclasses and Workshops

    Perfumery is one of the few remaining artisanal practices in our modern era. We offer intimate sessions of perfumer creation through guided exploration, conversation, and composition. Designed for small groups, each experience is tailored to the interests and pace of the participants. Attendees have access to rare ingredients and well-loved classics, and are informed on the history and anatomy of fine fragrance.
